The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good choice if you’re looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It’s got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn’t utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of the button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough maps of your space to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn’t lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It’s a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.
The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that’s an affordable price to pay if you want one of the best robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving on.
What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, Best Floor Vacuum Robot like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create or combine rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you’d expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It’s akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best floor vacuum robot known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you’re at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we’ve seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that has a range of features that aren’t often found on robots of this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It’s also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It’s slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app’s settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn’t as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
